Project objectives

1. To enrich the curricula at the Sri Lankan Universities with new courses on Healthy Aging &Geriatrics 

2. To improve the university capacity for providing modern practical training using novel technologies by establishing 6 university labs for functional assessment of older adults 

3. To promote internationalization, research, and digital skills in academic staff and students. 

4. To enhance competencies of professional physiotherapists and nurses in health promotion by  training health care staff. 

5. To raise awareness of Healthy Aging among senior citizens by establishing 12 Active Aging information centres for health promotion 

6. To develop educational and research Aging Network to promote interdisciplinary interaction among health care professionals, students, and academic staff at national and international level.
