We are excited to announce that Deliverable D2.1, a comprehensive needs analysis on core competencies for physiotherapists and nurses working with older adults in Sri Lanka, has been finalized and successfully uploaded to the European Commission.
This deliverable aims to describe the health and aging contexts in Sri Lanka and their management, identify the existing resources and gaps in the physiotherapy and nursing curriculum content related to aging at our partner higher education institutions, and highlight the current resources and demands in professional competencies for physiotherapy and nursing students, healthcare professionals working with older adults, and academic staff.
The document was prepared by a dedicated team of researchers from the project, all of whom possess extensive expertise in the key areas covered by the deliverable. The collaborative effort was well-structured from the kick-off meeting, where the team was defined, and the document’s development was meticulously planned in phases with specific internal deadlines. Regular meetings were held to review progress and prepare for the upcoming phases, ensuring a smooth and organized workflow. Thanks to this rigorous organization, the document was completed and submitted ahead of the deadline. Additionally, an external reviewer provided valuable feedback, which was carefully considered and incorporated.
We are proud of the team’s hard work and dedication, which has culminated in this significant milestone. You can read the Needs Analysis document here.
Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to advance our project goals.
